ABOUT THE ROLE
LOCATION: Milan / Madrid/ London / Berlin / Paris
We're looking for a highly motivated, ambitious, and effective Key Account Manager to join our Global Product team, responsible for traveling between our destinations and delivering unique, best-in-class travel experiences for our WeRoaders.
As Key Account Manager you will be responsible for supporting WeRoad as we scale through, building a strong network with the best suppliers around the world and negotiating the best rates for our business. You’ll manage sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and live tour operations for your destinations, and be the team expert on all operations related to your portfolio.
AS KEY ACCOUNT & CONTRACTING MANAGER, YOU WILL:
- be fully accountable for product supply, procurement & contracting of key destinations in LATAM
- be traveling between the destinations you are responsible for, identifying the right local partners and DMCs and developing strong long term partner relationships
- be responsible for contracting within your destinations, securing the best terms and rates for WeRoad and WeRoaders. Using your strong negotiation skills, you’ll be responsible for improving WeRoad product margins
- You will identify opportunities to maximize performance of each partner by monitoring results and proposing changes and improvements
- be the owner of the contribution margin generated through our Tour Operator activity in your destinations, taking full control of each product component, ensuring the sustainable growth of the business
- be responsible for implementing improvements to ensure customer experience is paramount and WeRoad is a provider of world leading experiences
- be a key part of our crisis management team, and support our emergency process and shifts as required on rotation amongst the team. Together with the rest of the team you’ll help guarantee global 24/7 assistance to our tours
- You have 3+ years of experience in sourcing and contracting, you are familiar with the tourism industry and have acquired strong negotiation skills.
- You have experience in LATAM and you are able to speak Spanish
- You are willing to travel
- You are comfortable in being one of the main points of contact for emergencies and/or crises
- You love managing a full suite of KPIs, and are highly engaged by achieving goals
- An excellent relationship builder, and someone who will relish the opportunity to build strong relationships for WeRoad with external partners.
- You have experience in a fast paced, dynamic startup scale up environment, and thrive under pressure
- You are commercially minded, analytical, competent at handling data sets, and can work autonomously to solve problems
